Rep. David Whitaker is serving his 7th term in the Arkansas House. He represents District 22 which includes a portion of Washington County.
For the 94th General Assembly, Rep. Whitaker serves on the House Public Transportation Committee and the House Agriculture, Forestry, and Economic Development Committee. Rep. Whitaker also serves on the Arkansas Legislative Council.
Rep. Whitaker graduated cum laude from University of Mary Washington. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University Of Arkansas School Of Law in Fayetteville. He served as Staff Sergeant for the United States Air Force.
Rep. Whitaker was recognized in 2006 with the Outstanding Government Attorney Award. He was also named Distinguished Legislator by the Arkansas Municipal League in 2013 and 2015. He was named Legislative Champion by Citizens First Congress in 2015.
Rep. Whitaker has two daughters. He resides in Fayetteville with his wife, Lisa.
